To ensure sustained participation of NSS and NCC in 'Swacch Bharat Abhiyan' and Ganga rejuvenation, the University Grants Commission has asked universities to develop an institutional framework.
In a letter to all Vice Chancellors, the UGC has also asked universities to make amendments in curriculum to provide credit to the student's practical projects on recycling and reusing biodegradable waste.
The UGC has also asked the universities to issue directions to educational institutions to recognise 'Swacchata Diwas' on first working day of every week.
