This was made clear by the members of a UK delegation led by Anna Soubry MP, Britain's Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Public Health, when they called on Chief Minister Oommen Chandy here today.
During their interaction, Soubry mentioned Kerala's achievements in human development, especially in public health care over the decades.
"I am delighted to be in Kerala which is renowned worldwide for its high health and human development indices. I am very pleased to have met Chief Minister Chandy who shares my enthusiasm for strengthening the existing academic and research partnerships we have in Kerala," Soubry said.
The delegation also invited key universities, colleges and companies in Kerala to look to the UK for partnerships in education, research, training, equipment and technology.
