The delegation, led by UKTIP Director St John Gould, interacted with the representatives of various industrial associations on the status of industries and possible joint ventures in the sectors in the region.
The delegation was briefed about different industries and opportunities in valve and pump sector, for which the city is a hub, Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA) Vice-President M V Ramesh Babu told PTI.
There was also huge potential in investment and joint venture in education field, with 20 universities in and around the city and also textile sector, particularly spinning and ready made garment sectors, Gould was told, he said.
Besides CODISSA, the meeting was attended by representatives of local CII, Southern India Engineering and Manufacturing Association, Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
