Undertrial hangs self in jail premises, probe ordered

A 22-year-old undertrial allegedly hanged himself from a tree inside district prison premises today, prompting jail authorities to order a magisterial probe.
Sonu, who was arrested after eloping with a girl in Retenpuri area here last year, was found hanging from a tree, Jail Superintendent SR Singh said.
A Magisterial probe has been ordered into the incident and the body of the youth was sent for post mortem examination, the officer said.
