Unicef India in association with All India Radio (AIR) has hosted the second edition of Radio4Child awards to recognise creative and innovative programming.
The award was in recognition of awareness about routine immunisation and end violence (against women and children), United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) India said in a statement.
The awards were given by Unicef celebrity advocate Madhuri Dixit at an event in Mumbai.
Unicef, AIR and the Association of Radio Operators of India (AROI) have been conducting capacity building workshops for radio journalists since 2014 to help them integrate meaningful, appealing radio jingles/talk shows on the critical messages of child health, it said.
The second edition of this coveted awards showcased the best entries received from a total of 120 RJs (radio jockeys) from across radio stations in six categories, including best jingle, RJ link, creative campaign and message clarity award.
