Railway Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, died at the Kasturba Medical College hospital here today. She was 56.
She was undergoing treatment for cancer for the last few months, family sources said.
Gowda had visited his sister in the morning along with his wife, son and other relatives.
Savithri was a zilla panchayat member and was a resident of Hoddeti near Sullia. ZP President Asha Thimmappa Gowda, vice president Satish Kumpala and former MLA Mallika Prasad Bhandary were present in the hospital when she breathed her last.
