"There is a need to ensure fool proof cyber security since hacking of database is common in the virtual world," he said after inaugurating the newly built National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) campus at Bodhjungnagar in Jirania sub-division.
He called upon the state government and other stake holders to work hard on cyber security to reduce the possibility of misusing of IT enabled facilities - Facebook and Twitter.
Chaudhary said that the Narendra Modi government had set a target to take high speed Internet service to the people's door step as part of Digital India vision by 2018.
Earlier, the minister also inaugurated the Software Technology Park, Agartala centre.
