Minister Maneka Gandhi has assured financial assistance to Arunachal Pradesh against proposal submitted for infrastructure development of 6225 anganwadi centres in the state.
Her assurance came when state's Women and Child Development (WCD) Parliamentary Secretary Gojen Gadi accompanied with Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju called on her in New Delhi yesterday, an official statement said here today.
Gadi drew her attention that the state government had submitted proposals worth over Rs 31.15 crore under normal integrated child development scheme to meet basic requirements for 2016-17, like pre-school kits, uniform and other necessities for anganwadi centres and requested for early release of fund.
After consulting with senior officers of her ministry present, Gandhi pointed out that there would be no dearth of funds for any genuine cause and assured that whatever possible would be sanctioned during this fiscal, the statement said.
