: Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan funded Uniphore Software Systems, a Chennai based speech recognition solutions company, is targeting the Asia Pacific to further expand its footprints.
"This is a strategic move to further expand our outreach outside India. I am very excited to grow the APAC market for Uniphore. The region offers immense potential that we are looking to serve with our multiple product offerings," Uniphore Co-Founder Ravi Saraogi said in a statement here.
Apart from Gopalakrishnan, Uniphore investors include IDGVentures India, India Angel Network, Yournest Fund and Stata Ventures.
In order to focus on the expansion, Saraogi has been elevated as the President of APAC region and will now be based in Singapore.

Saraogi, in his new role, will be responsible for the overall expansion and growth of Uniphore in the APAC region.
He will focus on increasing Uniphore's customer footprint as well as hire and nurture local talent to support Uniphore's business growth.
The company has offices in India, the Philippines, and UAE with about 100 employees spread across all locations.
