A unique 'Failures' Conclave' will be organised in Uttarakhand's Dehradun on Saturday to dissuade young students from taking extreme steps after failures.
The event will feature sessions from some eminent personalities, including Padma awardees, who have failed at one point in their lives, Avadhash Kaushal, organiser of the conclave, said.
Padma Shri Leeladhar Jagudi will be the chief guest at the conclave, Kaushal told PTI.
Kaushal conceived the idea of organising such an event to dissuade young students from taking extreme steps like ending their lives out of depression following a failure in an examination.
"Failures, if taken positively, can spur us on to great successes. People like Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin, Bill Gates have been very successful but what is common among them is they all are school drop-outs," he said.
The idea is to convey that the people who were not great academic performers still went on to make it big in life, he said.
