Kerala Governor Justice P Sathasivam Thursday termed as "very disturbing" the incidents including the stabbing of a student in Thiruvananthapuram University College and seizure of several bundles of answer sheets from the house of an SFI leader.
Addressing a function in Kanjirappally in the district, the Governor also expressed hope that the issues in the University College and the Kerala University would be settled soon.
".... the incidents taken place last week at Thiruvananthapuram is very disturbing," the Governor said adding he had summoned the state Higher Education Minister and Kerala University Vice Chancellor following the incidents.
Noting that Leader of Opposition in Kerala Assembly, Ramesh Chennithala, and delegations of various political parties had also met him in this connection, he said, "Now I hope... to some extend, the issue will be settled shortly."
