Eight persons were killed and nine others injured in a wall collapse incident in the Attara area here, police said today.
Among the victims were at least two women and two minor children.
The tragedy took place as the wall of a house at Bajpai ka Purwa collapsed last night and fell over some villagers who were sitting outside, they said.
Five of the deceased have been identified as Asha (70), Tota (65), Shanti Devi (65), Arvind (6) and Hallar (6), they said. The injured have been rushed to hospital, where the condition of two of them was stated to be critical.
