UP cops bust vehicle theft racket; 1 person arrested

With the arrest of a person, Uttar Pradesh police today claimed to have busted a vehicle theft racket operating in the state.
Accused Harveer was yesterday arrested at a check-post on Etah roadways bus stand and a motorcycle was recovered from his possession, police said.
Upon interrogation, Harveer, a resident of village Nagla Moti of Mainpuri Kotwali, confessed to the crime and provided clues and names of persons involved in the alleged vehicle theft racket, they said.
A second motorcycle was also seized from his possession, they said, adding a case has been registered against him.
Police is searching for other persons involved in the alleged racket, they said.
