Anil Kumar, currently lodged in Muzaffarnagar District Jail, sought permission to perform cremation of his father Braham Singh (65) who passed away yesterday, Jail Superintendent Rakesh Singh said.
According to police, Singh and his two sons were arrested in connection with a murder case on April 12 this year.
Meanwhile, according to jail sources, six inmates have died so far this year due to various reasons.
