UP experiences hot, dry weather, Agra hottest at 44.8 deg C

The weather remained hot and dry at most places of Uttar Pradesh today with the mercury breaching the 40-degree mark in at least six places.
Agra was the hottest place in state where the mercury soared to 44.8 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature in Lucknow was 38.5 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 21 degrees Celsius.
Jhansi recorded a high of 44.1 degrees Celsius, followed by Etawah and Banda 43.2 degrees Celsius each, Aligarh 41.8 degrees Celsius, Hamirpur 40.2 degrees Celsius and Allahabad 40.1 degrees Celsius.
According to the MeT department, the sky will remain mainly clear tomorrow but rain and thundershowers are very likely at isolated places over the state.
