A decision in this connection was taken during a meeting chaired by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, an official spokesperson said here.
The cabinet has also decided to relax the maximum age limit for recruitment of medical teachers.
"The decision has been taken keeping in view adverse effect on medical education due to constant decline in the teaching staff," he said.
The cabinet approved a proposal to transfer 6.6 hectare land to the higher education department for setting up Government Agriculture College.
The spokesperson said that creation of these many posts would cost the state exchequer Rs 11.5 crore.
It also gave approval to invite suggestions on Uttar Pradesh State Food Commission Regulations under National Food Security Act.
