"A statewide campaign was launched against traffic violators yesterday between 5 to 8 PM, in which 205 persons were arrested and 265 FIRs were lodged", IG, Law and Order A Satish Ganesh said.
He said during the campaign 4819 four wheelers with black windscreens, 507 vehicles with unauthorised blue/red beacon lights, and 3802 four wheelers were checked.
Replying to a question about Lucknow smart city surveillance system project, the IG said its trial will be done around January 26, in which 25 crossings of the city will have CCTV coverage.
