UP prison minister gets food and civil supplies ministry

Uttar Pradesh Prison Minister Rajendra Chaudhary was today given additional charge of food and civil supplies along with that of rent control, consumer protection and weight and measure.
"Governor B L Joshi in consultation with Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has given additional charge of food and civil supplies department to Prison minister Rajendra Chaudhary," an official spokesman said here.
Till now, the departments were with the CM following resignation of former Civil Supplies Minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya.
Raja Bhaiya resigned from the Cabinet after his name surfaced in the murder of Kunda Deputy Superintendent of Police Zia-ul-Haq on March 2.
