Seven people, including two children and the SUV driver, were killed on the spot in the accident that took place last evening.
SSP Chandra Prakash said it appeared the driver had lost control of the vehicle, hitting the tree.
The police identified the three who died today as Meraz (34), Nasreen (24) and Soni (2).
The bodies had been sent for a post mortem and an investigation was on, he added.
