Shiromani Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal today charged the UPA Government at the Centre with ignoring Punjab in distribution of funds for development works.
"Although Punjab have been contributing 90 per cent of its income to the national exchequer, in response it (the state) is getting less then one per cent of the total allocation of the central reserve for states," she told reporters here.
Harsimrat, wife of Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, accused Congress of "always adopting" apathetic attitude towards the state.
