Cardamom prices climbed 2.64 per cent to Rs 1,320 per kg in futures market today as speculators built up fresh position, tracking a firm trend at the domestic spot market on pick up in demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in December shot up by Rs 33.90, or 2.64 per cent, to Rs 1,320 per kg, in a business turnover of one lot.
Traders said fresh positions created by participants, driven by upsurge in demand in the spot market amid some exports enquiries mainly led to the rise in cardamom prices at futures trade.
