Uptick in demand lifts refined soya futures by 0.82%

Refined soya oil prices were up 0.82 per cent to Rs 621.20 per 10 kg in futures trading today as participants built up fresh positions after pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month July rose by Rs 5.05, or 0.82 per cent, to Rs 621.20 per 10 kg with an open interest of 44,550 lots.
In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in June month contracts traded higher by Rs 3.20, or 0.52 per cent to Rs 618.20 per 10 kg in 30,720 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders due to upsurge in demand in the spot market, mainly attributed the rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
