Urad dal, gram dal prices up; moong dal down

Prices of urad dal and gram dal increased and moong dal decreased, while rates of other commodities ruled steady at the wholesale foodgrains market here.
On the opening day, urad dal and gram dal went up by Rs 300 and Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 14,800 and Rs 6,200 from last week's closing rate of Rs 14,500 and Rs 6,000 to close the week at its opening rate.
In contrast, Moong dal opened the week at Rs 9,900, less by Rs 100 per quintal from Rs 10,000 and closed the week at the same rate.
However, Thoor dal (Rs 14,500), sugar (Rs 3,400), wheat (Rs 3,000), maida (90 kg) (Rs 2,500) and sooji (90 kg) (Rs 3,200) ruled steady throughout the week.
The foodgrain market was closed on January 26 on account of Republic day.
