In a mixed pattern of trading, prices of urad and its dal rose by up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on selective buying, while arhar and its dal ended lower on weak demand.
Traders said selective buying activity mainly led to rise in urad and its dal prices.
In the national capital, urad edged up to Rs 3,600-4,800 from previous level of Rs 3,500-4,600 per quintal.Its dal chilka local, best quality and dhoya were up by Rs 200 each to Rs 4,250-4,450, Rs 4,350-4,850 and Rs 4,800-5,000 per quintal respectively.
On the other hand, arhar and its dal dara variety fell by Rs 100 and Rs 200 to Rs 3,800 and Rs 5,100-7,000 per quintal respectively.
