Yuvraj Vikramaditya Singh, PDP leader and grandson of Dogra Maharaja Hari Singh, today said the upcoming assembly elections in the state were crucial and appealed to people to use ballot as means to bring change.
"The coming assembly elections are very crucial for the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is responsibility of every citizen of this state to cast their vote in favour of that party which has a visionary and pro-people agenda," Vikramaditya, who has joined PDP recently, said.
"People should use ballot as means to change their destiny by bringing PDP to power. People should support PDP's agenda of peace and development," he added.
Vikramaditya, son of veteran Congress leader Dr Karan Singh and brother of National Conference MLC Ajat Shatru, was addressing a series of public meetings here.
The PDP leader said the party had proved that it treated all sections of the society equally by providing opportunities of growth and development to everyone.
"PDP-led regime headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had set an example of good governance and carved out a path of equitable development in the state. PDP wants to change destiny of the people of J&K and to set up a pro-people, corruption-free and accountable system," he said.
