The 'More' hitmaker's five-year-old son was rushed to hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after he almost drowned in a swimming pool when his hand got stuck in a drain, reported TMZ online.
The little boy, who had to be given CPR, is showing miraculous signs of recovery despite still being in the ICU.
He is already sitting up in bed, eating, talking and laughing but won't be released for a few more days as doctors want to continue monitoring him following the serious accident.
The former stylist, who split from 'The Voice' USA mentor in 2009, has filed court documents in a bid to regain primary custody of the boys, claiming their father is an absent parent and relies on other people to care for their sons.
Foster's 11-year-old son Kile, from a previous relationship, died last year after a Jet Ski accident.
