The Chennai-based company had registered net profit of Rs 71.90 crore during the January-March quarter of the previous fiscal, 2013-14.
For the financial year ended March 31, 2015, its consolidated net profit slipped by 2.78 per cent to Rs 110.46 crore, from Rs 113.62 crore registered in during 2013-14, VA Tech Wabag Ltd said in a statement.
Consolidated total income from operations for the January -March 2015 period went up to Rs 907.73 crore, from Rs 897.66 crore from the year ago period.
"I am happy that our efforts in various geographies have yielded good results. The diversified presence and our localised approach have helped us deliver good performance during a tough year," VA Tech Wabag Ltd Managing Director Rajiv Mittal said.
The total order book during the financial year ending March 31, 2015 was over Rs 6,800 crore including framework contracts of Rs 1,400 crore, he said.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 741.60 apiece, down by 4.62 per cent, on the BSE.
