Vardhman Textiles Q1 Net up 37.27% at Rs 145.57 cr

Vardhman Textiles Ltd today reported a 37.27 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 145.57 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2015, helped by lower expenses.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 106.04 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.
Net sales in the quarter under review was at Rs 1,640.77 crore, down 2.26 per cent compared with Rs 1,678.74 crore in the same quarter last year, the company said in a filing to BSE.
Overall expenses of the company stood at Rs 1,399.73 crore as against expenses of Rs 1,504.4 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago, down 6.95 per cent.

Shares of Vardhman Textiles closed at Rs 826.45 apiece, down 0.18 per cent from the previous close.
