In the finale, Vartika was seen competing against the participants of 77 other countries.
"It is an absolute honour and pleasure to bring the crown to India. It was a huge responsibility and I feel immensely proud of myself right now. I am thankful to the Miss India Organization for giving me this opportunity and preparing me so well for the international pageant," Vartika said in a statement.
She wore designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock's champagne gold gown with delicate crystal detail and floral highlights at the finale on Sunday.
Anea Garcia from Dominican Republic won the coveted title of the third edition of Miss Grand International 2015.
Australia's Claire Elizabeth Parker won the first runner up spot.
