Addressing reporters here VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan said he would present a detailed memorandum to Lt Governor Kiran Bedi seeking the expeditious implementation of the RTE Act.
"The Act would enable the children from poor families to get access to education without any impediments," he said.
He also sought the financial assistance meant for poor dalit families to replace huts in Puducherry, to be hiked to Rs 10 lakhs from the present 4 lakhs.
Reacting to former Uttar Pradesh BJP leader Dayashanker Singh's comments agianst BSP supremo Mayawati, he said, his party would hold a demonstration in Chennai on July 25 to condemn it as well as the attack on Dalit youths in Gujarat.
