Rajinikanth, who returned from America after a two-month long sojourn on July 24, two days after the film's release, said he needed some rest for his "mind and body," as he had to slog without respite for the film and an under-production, Shankar directorial (Endhiran) '2.0.'
In a statement here, he said, he took rest, completed medical check-up and returned "hale and healthy" from America after two months.
"I am very happy to see the big success of Kabali," he said adding he had heard about it while he was in America.
The film released in India and abroad on July 22 with great expectations after two of his previous movies "Kocahadaiyan" and "Lingaa" performed badly at the box office.
