When a complainant, Jitendra of Saguna in Palamau district, said that Anganwadi in his area had been closed for the last eight years, Das directed to serve show cause notice to the CDPO of the place and take action against them.
He also said that the officials should not come under pressure from mukhias (village heads) in Palamau, Garhwa and Chatra and discharge their role in helping the poor.
Acting on a complaint that grains were not being made available to the primitive tribals of Pakur, the chief minister asked the officials to ensure that no person was deprived under the Right to Food Act.
He said the people were the real masters in a democracy so officials should show keenness in addressing their problems sincerely, an official release said here.
He said that attention should be given to whether their problems were being solved or not, adding the best example in a democracy is officials should understand their responsibilities and suo moto take notice and decisions as per their conscience.
He said that the officials should also feel happier as God has given them a chance to serve the people, which not many people get, the release said.
Deputy Commissioner of Giridih said that two doctors were appointed at a sub-health Centre at Chatti in the district two days ago after a complainant said the health centre had been closed for the last ten years.
