Veteran film director KSR Das is no more

Das, known for his action-oriented films mainly in Telugu in the 1970s and 80s, was being treated at a private hospital here for old-age related ailments and passed away yesterday, film industry sources said.

He had worked with superstars of south including Krishna and Chiranjeevi (Telugu), Rajnikanth (in Telugu and Kannada films) and Vishnuvardhan (Kannada), and directed over 99 films.

Making his debut in 1966 with a Telugu film, Das had directed films till 2000. With Krishna alone he had done 30 films in Telugu.
