Veteran Kannada actor C R Simha passes away

Kannada theatre and film artiste C R Simha died of prostrate cancer here today.
The 72-year-old Simha passed away at a private hospital, family sources said.
He is survived by his wife and son Ritwik Simha.
Simha had acted in several films, including award-wining Sankalpa Samskara, Bara, Chitegoo Chinte, Anuroopa and commercial flicks like Indina Ramayana, Nee Bareda Kadambari, Nee Tanda Kanike Ramapurada Ravana.
He had also directed five Kannada films, including Kakanakote, Simhasana and Ashwamedha.
His performance in Malgudi Days also received wide appreciation.
