Viacom18 Consumer acquire right for FC Barcelona and Winx Club

Viacom18 Consumer Products has acquired the marketing licensing rights of FC Barcelona and Italian fashion brand Winx Club.
Strengthening its sports and lifestyle portfolios, the company has also announced two new flagship partnerships with Nike and Rainbow International, the company said in a statement.
The entire product portfolio of Viacom18 consists of about over 200 SKU's and will be available at all leading online retail websites and retail stores across India, it added.
"Being an extremely progressive segment with high growth potential, sports merchandising has been a key focus category for us," Viacom18 Media Senior Vice President (Consumer Products) Saugato Bhowmik said.
Viacom18 Consumer has a portfolio of 50 categories and over 60 licensees in branded retail products segment. It has rights for iconic brands as MTV, Vh1, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central etc.
