In this two-day event organised by the Gujarat government, over 250 companies, both from India and overseas, will participate, covering 25 different aspects of agriculture, an official statement said.
According to the organisers, over two lakh people across the country are expected to attend the summit, out of whom around 5,000 would be farmers.
Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi is likely to address the meet, they said.
The event will have a special section on animal husbandry and dairy farming. It will provide knowledge on animal husbandry to the farmers, who aim to set up modern dairy farms.
The event will be open to people from September 9, between 2 to 6 pm and from next day between 10 am to 6 pm, a statement said.
The summit will cover different areas of agriculture like irrigation technology, green house plasticulture, agri-business, dairy technology, live stock fabrication, animal husbandry, among others.
The Gujarat Cold Storage Association, National Seed Association of India, Irrigation Association of India, Gujarat Agricultural Machinery Manufactures' Association, National Association of Welfare of Animal and other organisations have extended their support for this event, a statement said.
