Vicky Tyagi murder: Judicial probe ordered by Rights body

The National Human Rights Commission has ordered a judicial inquiry into the Vicky Tyagi murder case.
A judicial inquiry headed by Chief Judicial Magistrate Narender Kumar will be conducted in the murder case of alleged gangster Vicky Tyagi as per the orders of National Human Rights Commission yesterday, officials said.
B N Prasher, Registrar, Human Rights Commission had sent a letter regarding the inquiry to the district authorities, they said.
The police officials who escorted the deceased gangster were summoned by the Chief Judicial Magistrate as part of the inquiry.
The inquiry was initiated following the petition by Prabha Tygi, mother of the deceased who alleged that police officials were behind the death of her son, officials said.
An armed juvenile who had entered a courtroom here masquerading as a lawyer, mortally shot Vicky Tyagi, an alleged gangster multiple times on February 16.
The juvenile was arrested from the spot the same day and has been sent to jail. Brijbir Singh, another accused in the case was nabbed the next day of the crime.
A case has been registered against several people including Deputy SP (STF) Anuj Choudhry, SHO Sachin Malik and constable Vikas in this connection.
The deceased was one of the accused in the 2011 Barkali case, in which eight people of a family were killed.
