Singer-fashion designer Victoria Beckham, who has been appointed UNAIDS International Goodwill Ambassador, has lent her voice to a worthy cause.
Beckham, 40, said she is looking forward to her new role as an ambassador, reported Us magazine.
"I'm looking forward to working closely with you and your team at the UN. I work closely with the Elton John AIDS Foundation as well as mothers2mothers. I'm a mother, I'm a woman and I want to reach out and help as many women and mothers as I can. Babies should not be born with HIV," she said.
This is not the former Spice Girl's first charitable act. The mother of four sold 600 pieces from her clothing and accessories wardrobe to raise funds for mothers2mothers in August, a charity that strives to eliminate the transmission of HIV and AIDS between mothers and their unborn children.
