Gupta responded to the breach of privilege charge claiming that Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari has already accepted his apology in the matter and there is no ground for continuing the proceedings in this regard.
The proceedings of the Committee were also open to the media.
Earlier this year, Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel had forwarded Gupta's matter to the House Privilege Committee following Rajya Sabha Chairman asking him to take appropriate action in the matter.
Gupta said he was being "targeted" by the AAP government since he is "exposing its misdeeds".
"AAP government is harassing me because I am raising their misdeeds. They are trying to snub Opposition in the Assembly by targeting me," he said.
