Vinayaka Chaturthi celebrated with religious fervour

Vinayaka Chaturthi was today celebrated in Puducherry with religious fervour.
Devotees offered worship at various temples including the famous Manakula Vinayakar shrine.
People performed poojas to the idols of the elephant headed God at home.
Clay models of Lord Ganesha, decorated with colourful umbrellas in different sizes, were selling like hot cakes.
Large idols were installed at various points which would be immersed in the Bay of Bengal a week later.
