Vir Das secretly marries longtime girlfriend in Sri Lanka

Comedian-actor Vir Das has tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Shivani Mathur in a secret ceremony in Sri Lanka.
Das, 35 and Mathur, who have been dating for the past five years, got married in presence of close friends and family on October 19.
"We wanted to have a small ceremony for our wedding, there were about 100 people, comprised of family and close friends. I wanted my wedding to be a quiet affair. We had asked all our guests to switch off their smart phones in order to spend quality time at our wedding," Das said in a statement.

The guests enjoyed a pre-wedding pool party, a rock concert, the sangeet ceremony, which culminated in the wedding ceremony.
The couple are currently busy with their respective work commitments and so they are yet to go for their honeymoon.
Das, whose last release was 'Amit Sahni Ki List, will be next seen in 'Santa Banta' and 'Mastizaade', both of which will hit theatres next year.
