Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee president Sukhvinder Singh Sukkhu has mooted the idea of cabinet ministers sitting in the party headquarters on appointed days to listen to the problems and grievances of the people and it was kick-started by the chief minister.
Congress spokesperson Sanjay Singh Chauhan said the Chief Minister was accorded a rousing welcome by party leaders.
Sukkhu said the move has been started to facilitate the general public who find it difficult to meet the chief minister and his cabinet colleagues in the secretariat or at their residence.
Interacting with the workers and people, the chief minister said the move would ensure better coordination between the government and the party organisation and meetings with party workers and people of the state would further strengthen the organisation.
The Congress spokesperson said the delegations of various blocks of the state, Aanganwari Workers, Asha Workers, Mid-Day Meal workers, computer teachers, Krishak Mitras, Panchayat Chowkidars, party workers and the general public met Singh and briefed him about their issues.
