A senior leader of the Congress, Singh's comments come in the backdrop of a chorus of doubts and allegations that have been levelled by opposition leaders including BSP supremo Mayawati, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal and members of the SP. ,
It must be ensured that there was nothing wrong with the "chips" (in EVM machines), Singh said while talking to media persons on the sidelines of meeting with state office bearers of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC).
"We would not be cowed down by these cheap tactics," he said claiming that the Congress would wrest the Bhoranj (reserve) assembly seat from BJP in the coming bye-election.
He also accused the BJP in the state of playing politics on the issue of declaring Dharamsala as second capital of Himachal Pradesh and of misguiding the people.
