Uppal has been appointed for a term of two years, 2014 and 2015. This will be his second tenure as AEPC Chairman, Prior to this he was Chairman of AEPC during 2002-03.
Uppal is the Chairman of Richa Global Export Pvt Ltd, which is a leading garment exporter. He also spearheaded the Garment Export Association as President during 1992-93.
Incorporated in 1978, AEPC provides assistance to Indian exporters, importers and international buyers who choose India as their preferred sourcing destination for garments.
