Tata Group firm Voltas Ltd today reported a fall of 11.01% in consolidated net profit at Rs 44.43 crore for the second quarter ended September 30.

The company had a net profit of Rs 49.93 crore in the July-September quarter last fiscal.

However, consolidated net sales during the quarter under review was up 9.37% to Rs 1,059.77 crore as against Rs 968.92 crore of the same period of last fiscal, Voltas said in a regulatory filing.

For the six months ended September 30, consolidated net profit declined 2.48% to Rs 154.97 crore compared with Rs 158.92 crore in the same period last fiscal.

Net sales during the first half of the current fiscal was also down 2.43% to Rs 2,654.97 crore from Rs 2,721.23 crore in the same period a year ago.

Voltas shares were trading at Rs 271 in pre-close session, down 0.84% on BSE.
