"We are planning to go for brand extension of Voltas into other product categories like electronics and consumer durables. For this, a study is being carried at present," Pradeep Bakshi, President and COO of unitary products group of the company said.
The result of the study is likely to be placed before the Voltas board in 2015, he said.
Voltas is already enjoying the leadership position in the room AC segment with around 22 per cent market share and is selling roughly one million units per year, he told reporters here today.
"We hope to increase our share this financial year", he said.
The company launched three stores in the city to increase its brand presence, he said.
