Titans coach Rob Walters today praised his team for turning the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad into an easy affair and stressed on the need to continue the momentum to keep their semifinal hopes alive in the Champions League T20.
"It turned out to be an easy game in the end. I think Sunrisers Hyderabad are a quality team. And at one stage they looked to put a good score, but wickets fell and that really turned the game," a beaming Walter said at the post-match press conference here.
"We had to win tonight. To have a chance to make it to semifinal and we are in very good position. In the next couple of days, we have to keep up the pace in the ground and we need to do very good in the next game," Walters said.
He expressed happiness at the team's crushing eight-wicket win over Sunrisers when both the team required victory in their crucial group B match.
Praising his team for playing good T20 match, Walters said his bowlers were economical in the middle overs and expressed hope that Titans would get a good game in the next match as well.
"I think it was a nice T20 cricket, the bowlers were economical. (Yet) I think we got to bowl better. No doubt there (had been) a little be rustiness in the first game, then we are picking up, particularly bowling," Walters said.
