Filmmaker Nikhil Advani has expressed his desire to make a film on the 1984 'Operation Blue Star'.
'Operation Blue Star' was a military operation which took place in June 1984 to remove Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and his armed followers from the Harmandir Sahib complex in Amritsar, Punjab.
"I went to Amritsar and 'Operation Blue Star' happened there so I want to research on that, and make a film," Nikhil told reporters here.
The filmmaker is also working on another project, based on 2008 Batla House encounter case.
"My next film is on Batla House, the big police encounter in Delhi. We are doing the preparation for it. It should begin by March-April," he said.
"I am working on these two subject. My production is working on it. We are also going to launch directors. So, we are on it," Nikhil added.
The filmmaker said the shooting of his much-talked about film "Bazaar" will, however, take some time as he and his team are busy re-writing the script.
The movie is based on stock market and will reportedly star Akshay Kumar.
"'Baazar' is into re-write. We need to do it because things have happened in the stock market which made me realise that we need to turn around.
"We need to revisit the characters, the story. That's what we are doing right now," the director added.
