Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, whose daughter Suhana wants to become an actress, has expressed a desire to open an institute for budding actors.
SRK credits Barry John and theatre for teaching him the technicalities of acting.
"My daughter wants to learn acting but I don't know where to send her in India. We don't have any good acting school. One of my dream projects is to be able to create an institute where youngsters can come and learn professional acting, techniques of acting, different styles of acting," he said here last evening.
According to the "Veer Zara" actor, India lacks proper "screenplay writing" and acting school like Lee Strasberg.
SRK, however, lauded Anupam Kher's efforts in his acting school but thinks it should be on a bigger level.
"I would love to do that; I would like to dedicate my life to it. Somewhere down the line a school where all boys and girls can come and understand from international artists the technique of acting," he said.
SRK has three children - Aryan, Suhana and AbRam and he insists he would let his children follow the profession of their choice.
"It is not important what I want my children to do. It's important what they would like to do. They are too young, let them finish their education and then we shall talk," he said.
"It's too early for me to tell my son or daughter do this or that. If they don't become actors I will equally love them and even more. Let them do what they want as long as they are happy and healthy. My father and mother didn't tell me what to do and see where I am and so they will be there too," he added.
