Manish, 35, was arrested by team of Special Cell from Old Palam Road Dwarka on August 17. He tried to flee by firing at the policemen in which one constable Ombir had a narrow escape, said a statement by Special Cell.
On an earlier occasion in June, Daryaganj police team had laid a trap to catch Manish near Geeta Colony flyover, but he dodged the waiting police party as a pillion rider and his close aide Manoj shot at them and injured a constable, it said.
The accused is wanted in nearly 100 cases and has been involved in 61 snatching cases.
